This sterling silver and yellow gold double pendant is from bespoke jeweller Dominic Walmsley’s St Andrews collection, for which the Junor Gallery has been granted world exclusivity.
Each piece in the St Andrews collection features the iconic steeple of St Salvator’s Chapel in the heart of the University area. To the right, the windows of the chapel can be seen. The layout of North Street and Market Street, changed very little since mediaeval times, is rendered in detail. The exquisitely rendered detail of the town’s houses with their ancient ‘lang rigg’ gardens is a testament to the jeweller’s superb craftsmanship.
Dominic is based in Sevenoaks, Kent. With family connections in Edinburgh, he has been a welcome visitor to my physical gallery pre-pandemic days – on one occasion, speaking with visitors about the stages involved in creating this unique collection.
This double pendant is also available with discs in reverse: larger gold disc with smaller sterling silver (£190.). This version is now SOLD (April 2023), so please allow at least 3 weeks for another to be made by Dominic. All pieces are made in Dominic Walmsley’s workshop within his shop in Kent.
