Privacy Statement

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, 2018)

Your privacy is important to us. This privacy statement explains what personal data the Gallery collects from you, through our interactions with you, and how we use that data. We will use every best effort to ensure the information you submit to us remains private, and is used only for the purposes set out below. We do not sell your data to anyone. The following reflects our commitment to your privacy in all your dealings with the Gallery.

Information about all visitors and why we collect it
In general, we gather information about all gallery visitors and website users anonymously and collectively, for example, about how many people visit the gallery each day, what areas of our website are visited most frequently and what services visitors and website users access the most. We only use such data in the aggregate. This means it’s not about you personally, and you’re not personally identifiable. This information helps us understand when people like to visit, what our visitors like best, and how we can continually create a better overall experience for you.

Information about you specifically
In some instances, such as when you sign up for our occasional e-Newsletter or book a workshop or other event, we may require more specific information about you, such as your name and contact information (e.g. email address and/or tel. number). We may use this to make you aware of exhibition previews, news, workshops and other events which may be of interest to you, or to contact you regarding workshop or event changes. We retain this information only for as long as it fulfils this purpose.

If you’ve signed up for our e-Newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time, by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ option at the foot of the Newsletter or by emailing the Gallery at info.junorgallery.scot

General information disclosure
We do not sell or share information about you to any outside parties. We do not disclose any information about your visits to the gallery or our website, or any personal information that you provide, such as your name, address, email address, etc., to any outside parties. The only rare and limited exception would be when required by law to do so.

Feedback
The Gallery welcomes feedback. Any feedback that is submitted becomes our property. We may use this feedback, such as compliments, anonymously, for marketing purposes. We may share comments in our Guest Book or from post-workshop feedback surveys, anonymously, with the artist or workshop leader concerned. Your feedback helps us understand what you appreciate most, and how we can continually create a better overall experience for you.

Privacy statement changes
If we decide to change our privacy statement, we will post those changes here so that you will always know what information we gather, how we might use that information, and whether we will disclose it to anyone. If, at any time, you have questions or concerns about our privacy commitment, please feel free to email us at info@junorgallery.scot
