About the Artist
Jonathan Dredge is a photographer and print maker who was born and brought up in St Andrews. With a professional background in design and broadcasting, he now also works with textile artist Ross Belton as Modern Eccentrics, a creative partnership and online art and crafts magazine.
The act of looking and experiencing is key for an artist, and it is something that has preoccupied me since drawing flora as a child. I attempt to capture the essence and atmosphere of what I see before me, whether it is the beauty of vegetation as it ages and decays, or the play of light through trees or where the sea meets the sky. – Jonathan Dredge
Jonathan Dredge is now based in London. His work has been exhibited in Japan, Berlin and throughout the UK.
