The European Union was founded on a vision of peace, prosperity and stability, in the wake of the First and Second World Wars. Its visionary pioneers included Holocaust survivors, resistance fighters, a farmer, a scientist and teacher, an actor . . . as well as statesmen & women and politicians. Here, the artist Yanko Tihov draws our attention to two contrasting Europes – to the Europe of the 1930s and the Europe of today.

It’s an enormous pleasure and privilege to host this artist’s first Scottish solo exhibition. Yanko Tihov’s work is exhibited and collected worldwide.              – Beth Junor, Gallery Director
